System Component

A physical_object that is a component_of a system and that can be completely replaced without losing identity.

Note: A system_component is existence dependent on the system it is a component of, unlike any ordinary_physical_object that may be installed as the component.

Attributes

  • component_of: A part_of relationship type where each system_component is part_of exactly one system.
  • member_of: A member_of relationship type where a system_component may be a member_of one or more class_of_system_component.
