The problem

I have a highly tuned home assistant instance running a remove home which is solar powered. As I need esphome I saw that assist_pipeline and thus conversation are needed dependencies which I would like to remove to make HA even more slim.

What version of Home Assistant Core has the issue?

core-2024.4.4

What was the last working version of Home Assistant Core?

core-2024.4.4

What type of installation are you running?

Home Assistant OS

Integration causing the issue

esphome

Diagnostics information

I've removed conversation and assist_pipeline from my HA instance but these are reenabled by the esphome integration which has a dependency on "assist_pipeline". I would like to kindly ask for this to be optional as there are quite a few people online which do not need the assistants.
