CopyQ's search feature is nice but I would like more sophisticated searching functionality in CopyQ. I wonder if this might be accomplished by integrating CopyQ with Recoll which is a desktop application for searching text in documents.
Here's my current workflow with CopyQ...
I press F1 on my keyboard to bring CopyQ to the foreground.
I type in some text to search CopyQ.
I scroll through the results to find the item in my clipboard I am looking for.
Finally, I press Enter to paste the text into the current document I am working on.
Here's my proposed workflow with CopyQ...
I would press F1 on my keyboard to bring up Recoll in a way so that Recoll would only search my CopyQ clipboards.
I would use Recoll in the normal manner.
Finally, I would press F2 to paste the text into the current document I am working on.
By the way, for people who prefer to use a GUI (like me), Recoll is a powerful desktop text search application. Sure, using file manager such as ranger or nnn along with a plugin such as fzf is very powerful. But my search needs seem to be too modest to warrant spending the time to learn how to use those tools.
Therefore, even if CopyQ were integrated with fzf (or some other similar command line application), I would still to see it integrated with Recoll.
