As mentioned in the hero-ml repo, this project is open-source, which means it requires your expertise!
There are a tonne of decent workflows in this Repo, but only you can make them better, by contributing to workflows you think your expertise would benefit!
Before you start contributing, ensure that you have:
- A GitHub account.
- Installed the HeroML CLI tool OR cloned the HeroML Repo to use it with Python or Node.
Join our discord, will try to be as helpful as possible!

Fork the repository. Click the
Forkbutton at the top right of this page. -
Clone your forked repository. Go to your GitHub account, locate the forked repository, click the
Codebutton, and then clickCopy. Open a terminal, navigate to the directory where you want to clone the repository, and use the command:git clone <paste the copied URL> -
Navigate to the cloned repository. Use the command:
cd <repo-name> -
Create a new branch. Use the command:
git checkout -b <branch-name> -
Make your changes. Find the relevant file(s), make your changes, and save the file(s).

Commit your changes. Use the command:
git add .to stage your changes andgit commit -m "<commit-message>"to commit your changes. -
Push your changes. Use the command:
git push origin <branch-name> -
Create a pull request. Go to your forked repository on GitHub, click the
New pull requestbutton, select your branch from the dropdown menu, and clickCreate pull request.
Before submitting your pull request, test your changes to ensure they're working as expected. Use the command: hero run /path/to/your/script.heroml
Once your changes have been committed and pushed to your forked repository, submit a pull request for review.
Remember to:
- Describe what changes you've made.
- Explain why you've made those changes.
- Reference any issues your PR resolves.
