It wasn't that bad after all. I'll clean this up a little and then we can see if we want emacs23 or not. |

Add ert.el and cl-lib.el in compat directory to support Emacs23 out of the box.
Emacs23 needs some special care to be supported. Add that in Makefile.
This reverts commit d1ef416.
