Currently the documentation maybe over-emphasized Spark-on-YARN since that is what I use and what I've built some convenient functionality for (e.g. the app param to fetch start/end/app info from YARN RM).

Similar helpers / documentation for Spark standalone would be good, as mentioned in #5
