Prerequisites

  1. You must be a member of Hack for LA to work on an issue. If you have not joined yet, please follow the steps on our Getting Started page.
  2. Please make sure you have read our Hack for LA Contributing Guide before you claim/start working on an issue.

Overview

We want the information presented on our website to be accurate and up-to-date. The Civic Tech Jobs project page needs to be updated to reflect recent changes in the team.

Action Items

  • Observe the existing syntax of the front matter block inside of the _projects/civic-tech-jobs.md file and find the leadership variable.
  • Find the profile for Karen Colonel, then replace entire entry with the following:
  - name: Karen Coronel
    role: Senior Product Manager
    links:
      slack: https://hackforla.slack.com/team/U010KUGJATC
      github: https://github.com/kcoronel
    picture: https://avatars.githubusercontent.com/kcoronel
  • Next, move Karen's profile first in the order of leadership
  • Confirm on your local that links for the member appear to be correct (i.e. for the correct person) and are functioning
  • Confirm on your local repo and provide before and after screenshots showing that the changes have been made on the Civic Tech Jobs project page and that no unexpected changes have occurred.

Hi @locb65!

Thanks for taking on this issue! I moved this issue back to the In Progress (actively working) column on the project board since there is an associated pull request waiting for review and there doesn't appear to be a question about the issue. The Questions / In Review column is generally for issues that don't have an associated pull requests or for questions about an issue. Generally, the issue will explicitly say to move it to the Questions / In Review column in the instructions. If there is an associated PR, the issue stays in In Progress (actively working) until the pull request is merged.

If I've misinterpreted the status and you have a question, please feel free to move it back and be sure to post a comment with your question. If any of this needs clarifying, please feel free to ping me! Thanks!
