Check boxes do not render in Material Admin template

Hi!

I am using Material Admin template, this one:
https://github.com/MaistrenkoAnton/django-material-admin

The checkboxes seem to work perfectly fine with

'django.contrib.admin'

but when I switch to:

'material.admin',
'material.admin.default',

The checkboxes do not appear. Looks like the styling that is applied in material theme is not compatible with this widget. Is there anything that can be done to make it work on that theme as well?

Any help would be appreciated.
