  1. Markdown: enable some more extensions 

    Improve Markdown-rendering by enabling some extensions:

- enable definitions lists
- enable footnotes
- enable header-ids and automatically generate header-ids (for linking to README-sections or creating table-of-contents for larger READMEs)
