Lock to Preview mode as default view? #1957

I do not see a global "open imported Markdown files in preview" setting in the current source. Preview state is stored per project as a list of note names that were already in preview mode. On load, FSNotes restores preview state by checking whether the note name is in that saved list. The default preview preference is also false in the defaults. So imported/new Markdown files will not automatically enter preview unless they already match saved preview state or you toggle them. This sounds like a feature request for a default preview mode for Markdown/imported notes rather than an existing setting to turn on. |

In short, Preview mode is an example of poor UX, and I don’t want to add hacks just to make it work. |

I may not have explained myself very well. What I meant is, in my notebook, I would like to be able to open a note and have it be rendered in pretty HTML by default. I could go through each one, one at a time, and hit my CMD + / key combo, and that would make it work the way I want it to, but that would require a lot of manual labor. |

I understand, but let me repeat: all I want is for there to be no preview; that's an example of a poor user experience. |
Uh oh!

I imported about a thousand markdown files and they're all in edit mode by default. If I switch to Preview mode, my choice is remembered but only for that file. Is there any way to set the default mode to render my Markdown by default?
