There is no that option because the code was not ported from python version (maybe it is not worth).
Do you want to import from Keynote or you just inform about this?

I'd love to import my keynote NT note tree; is there a way to to so?

Yes. While the latest 0.99.41 (C++) version does not have the import from keynote yet, the old 0.39.4 (Python) has it, so you can download the older version from https://www.giuspen.com/cherrytree/#downl and use it only to import/convert to cherrytree. Then you can get back to use the latest version.
