satrim is not deployed to /usr/local/sdm by EZsdmInstaller - should it be? #298

What's the logical argument for including it in the installer? Here's my thinking: If a system has sdm installed, the trim-enable plugin is there, and can be used to enable trim. On the other hand, if a system doesn't have sdm installed but they want to use satrim, they can simply download the one file (satrim). The same holds true for systems with sdm installed. Want satrim? Just download it. Adding satrim to /usr/local/sdm would result in a script that 99.999% of sdm users will never use. Plus, most non-sdm users will not use ezsdmInstaller to install sdm just to get satrim; they'll simply download the one file they want. |
