Update README to list versions of Git that we are/not compatible with #488

Add a section to the README document that lists versions of Git that GCM is known to have problems with, such as 2.26.2 that broke credential configuration parsing.

Looks good. If anything, I would use a short SHA as link text of that commit, but it's not a big problem if you want to keep using the long form.
