We have some potential breaking changes to land that impact platform support

• feat(core)!: Use globalThis for code injection #610 (uses globalThis)
• fix!: Wrap injected code in block-statement to contain scope #646 (uses const rather than var)

Remove deprecated APIs:

• chore: Remove deprecated options and update changelog for v3 major #654
