Links, Information and Notes from GDI Minneapolis Classes and Slack channels

Don't Be Shy! PRs Welcome CC-BY-NC-SA License Code of Conducxt All Contributors

We've been using our Slack team channels to share information, links, and other interesting things during our classes, and to share other things any time.

We've lost some of these sharings over time because of Slack's limitation on the number of messages we can have.

So, in the spirit of keeping our lore handy, provide a space for more collaboration, and general learning, this repository will attempt to keep that info from floating away.

Structure

The structure is really pretty simple. Each topic area is matched to a Slack channel, and the topic area is a directory.

In each directory is the main README.md file, and there can be other files if the information needs to be broken up somehow. (It's no fun to try to read through and 80-page README any more than scrolling back through Slack channels.)

Contributing

You all should feel invited and highly encouraged to participate in this venture. There are many ways you can do that:

  1. Share with others

  2. Ask a question, engage in a discussion, suggest a link or category or some other change in the [issues] section of the repo.

  3. Fork the repo, create a branch and make changes, additions, corrections, deletions, and create a pull request

Working on your first Pull Request? You can learn how from this free series How to Contribute to an Open Source Project on GitHub

  4. Write an article in the project wiki

  5. Proof-read the information, test/check links for validity, point out problems. File an issue or submit a pull request
