Use Cases

I'm using different input methods for different languages (because none of them can cover all the languages I need: English, German, Chinese, Japanese), so I need to switch between them quite often.
Now in Futo, I need to long press the "Globe" icon, than click "Switch Keyboard", then call out the system menu to choose the input method. That means: one time long press, two times click.
Instead in Fcitx5, I can select the input method just by long pressing the "Globe" icon, like shown in the screenshots. It's only one time long press, one time click. That makes my life much more relax.

I like Futo, and I hope someday Chinese, Japanese support will be added into Futo. But I don't know if that is in your plan. Before that day comes, an easy-switcher will be a great solution for me.

But anyway, thanks for your great work!

Btw. I have added English and German Keyboard in Futo, English and Rime (Chinese) keyboard in Fcitix5. But in the system-level popup menu and Fcitx5's popup menu, there is only a "Futo", not like Fcitx5 shows the two keyboards.

I would love to change between the languages with a double-tab on the sidebar.

With all due respect, your answer doesn't help at all.

Of course, I know it.
I am asking, if it is possible to make the switch easier.
I am not asking, how can I do the switch.

If I could, why should I use two different keys for the same purpose -- to switch languages. For the system, they are two or three or more different input methods. But for me, as a user, they are all languages. I would like to be able to switch languages in one place.
