I have 3 drives, 120GB SSD, 8TB HDD, and 5TB SMR HDD. Can I set them in 3 tiers?

Did you test it in a single tier and what were the results?

I think there is built in logic that senses the speeds/latency/iops and prioritizes the faster disks, in order to move the data faster.

I have many "tiers" from optane to cheap flash to older HDDs I think the single StorageSpaces with ReFS is currently the best way to pool all these into a single usable block storage space.

If not then either finetuned btrfs or layered solution however to get full capacity and more CRC checks StorageSpaces is in the lead, I think. Need to test more.
