Problem

When a user clicks to View a document, what does that flow look like?

  • What does the dialog read to manage their expectations of the new Disp-VM opening?
  • Any timed events?

Considerations

  • Opportunity to spec-out how Dialog messages should look, within the VisDe Schema Workstation Beta Visual Design #31
  • It could take a looong time for that disposable VM to open; how to best mitgate that?
  • Assuming a user will be opening multiple files, how to do this in a fashion that won't promote dialog-fatigue or become annoying?
  • Could multiple files open w/in the same DIsposable-VM @eloquence (or is that how it already happens?)

Acceptance Criteria

  • Clickable wireframe demonstrating intended functionality
  • Animation demonstrating timed events
  • This functionality added to Needs User Testing punchlist

This is a sub-task within #18

How is the Qubes stuff in-progress likely to impact this @eloquence? When would be a good opportunity to revisit this—and will this ticket be able to generate any meaningful anything to get design reccs into the Qubes config for Beta (eg, is this ticket in essence just pointless, now?)

Long ago completed. Closing Issues upon completion is a good thing. :)
