Packaging for Chimera Linux

I'd like to look into packaging the native application for Chimera Linux (packaging manual). I've got two main questions for now:

1. Is there a good reason not to implement Fuse OverlayFS in the distro's package? (the systemd unit file will need to be ported to the dinit equivalent ofc)
2. What are your thoughts on using cargo directly instead of through cargo-make, so that we can make use of cbuild's cargo build style? It looks like the firefoxpwa Arch package does this.

Any additional suggestions are welcome.

I just learned that there's a runtime linking option that I think does much the same thing as the Fuse overlay. What are the pros and cons of the two approaches?
