Feature: Show directory path of both panes in the path bar

What feature or improvement do you think would benefit Files?

Separate the dropdown for each pane. When deep in multiple directories it would be nice to be able to compare and see the full directory structure of a given folder.

Thanks for the feedback, do you mean you want the path bar to show the current directory based on the active pane or do you mean you want to see both at the same time?

Thanks for the feedback, this would have the same performance issue mentioned here #14373 (comment). We're certainly not against exploring these types of designs once we make further improvements to performance, but I don't think it's fair to existing users to make changes that'll affect performance.

I would love to see this as well. I find jumping between folders in two planes is a bit cumbersome.

I like the way Dolphin (KDE) solves it. Clicking on the folder path makes it editable - just like in Files.
