Crash when opening folder with .git folder

Description

I have a Windows-universal-samples folder which clone from https://github.com/microsoft/Windows-universal-samples with some modifications.

When click on the folder, Files exit immediately with notification like below

I tried to copy the folder to different location, to 'D:\Windows-universal-samples' but still crashed after double click.

After some testing, I found that the .git folder is actually causing the issue, attached the .git folder below log file.

Steps To Reproduce

1. Download dot git folder.zip
2. Extract All
3. Double click dot git folder
4. Crashed
