Can't Access Preferences (even after relaunch) #149

One of my first installs on a new computer is always Shiftit. I installed it today on my new machine running Mavericks (10.9.4), and while the application works, I cannot access its preferences; starting the application no longer places it in the Menubar, nor does it open the preferences dialogue.

Same problem 10.9.5. I noticed i had xQuartz open so I closed that and it worked again

Interesting. There might have been a bug. I just pushed a commit to 1.6.1 branch. Can you make build yourself or shall I make one for you?
