Requesting the following Merge discussions (if there is enough time):

  • replace mixHash field with random and expose it via DIFFICULTY opcode
  • WS checkpoint between the Merge fork and terminal PoW block
  • enforce terminal_pow_block.parent_block.total_difficulty < transition_total_difficulty
