Is your feature request related to new functionality not yet included in the product? Please describe.
Similar to the Scholarblog feeds for Health, Business, Oxford, and the main site, a Drupal block for SCO would link to https://scholarblogs.emory.edu/woodruff/topics/news

Is your feature request related to a problem or a change to existing functionality? Please describe.
Related to migration of SCO content to Drupal

Describe the solution you'd like
To be able to add a SCO-themed Scholarblogs block to the bottom of the SCO landing page.

Describe alternatives you've considered
A content card, description, and link that navigates away from the site to Scholarblogs.

How will this impact users?
Users will be able to see SCO news story titles on the landing page, offering them several content choices before navigating away from the site.

This sounds like creating a feed to pull these in to show off on the SCO page https://libraries.emory.edu/services/scholarly-communications

@CB987 It, along with a News feed block, would replace the card at the bottom of the SCO page https://libraries.emory.edu/services/scholarly-communications

SCO news and events card

Screenshot 2024-01-05 at 5 18 45 PM this is both blocks, set up like the libraries homepage. the requested news feed is the same as the woodruff one that already exists, is that right?

@cwbragg let me know if that looks good or if there are any changes . the part on the page is content, of course, and would be created directly on the page once the new events feed block gets released to prod.

@CB987 That news feed should populate with stuff from here if possible: https://scholarblogs.emory.edu/woodruff/topics/scholarlycommunication

when deploying to a new environment,

  1. news block custom content block must be recreated (clone main news block and change urls)
  2. drupal blocks must be replaced in the block layout. (if they are already there, remove and re-place)
  3. add drupal blocks to the page. for styling, use color title, and "Even Feed Block TItle" as custom style for the Events block, and "News Feed Block" for the News block.

on 02/19, per @cwbragg ,
"Jody asked if the SCO news/blog feed could be shortened to three posts rather than five or more. She felt that it makes the page lopsided since there are so few SCO events/trainings they schedule."

this was accepted.

The SCO wordpress / scholar blog feed block is currently displaying an error message:

“This block is broken or missing. You may be missing content or you might need to enable the original module.”

I’ve added it to the bottom of this page:

https://prod.libraries.emory.edu/colin-test-page

Also, could it be renamed “SCO News?” That would mirror the Events block.

The SCO Trumba feed block has been published to PROD and is working.
