Overview

UBA has the ability to support custom resource repos for Bibles, Books, Commentaries, Devotionals, PDF, DOCX, MP3, and MP4 files. This allows anyone to publish their own resources and allows another UBA user to download them.

Use cases:

  • Build your own personal library and store them in GitHub and be able to access those files from any computer
  • Create Bible study material and share them with your Bible study group
  • Create a music or video repository and access them from any computer
  • Build a PDF collection of your favorite topic and share with others
  • Create a devotional and allow others to use it
  • Create your own Bible translation and share it with the world

Adding a custom repo to download from

In the main menu, select Resources, Add, Configure User Custom Repos. The User Customer Repos dialog box will display.

Click Add to add a repository. For example, enter "Ancient Israel History" for name. Select "PDF" for type (The type field is used to determine what folder to install to). Enter "otseng/UBA-PDF-Ancient-Israel-History" for the repo. After you add it, select it and click the "Show" button to see what is in the repo in the browser. Click "OK" to close the dialog. Then it should should show up as a menu item under Resources, Add.

Click "Build Index" to build the search index to make your repos searchable in Library Catalog. If any new files are added to the remote repo, you will need to rebuild the index to see it in the Library Catalog.

Use "Import" and "Export" to load and save your custom repo collection.
