UniqueBible's Library of Bible Locations

Our library of bible locations is an enhanced version of the Exhaustive Library of Bible Locations, original developed by Bible Analyzer. Thanks to Tim Morton for sharing this material for the kingdom of God.

Enhancement on top of the original database:

  • Added missing data of bible locations
  • Added 3441 offline google maps, in 3 different sets of different size, coverage and quality.
  • Added interface of using google api key
  • Rebults index for mapping with bible chapters / verses

How it looks like?

To launch a search for bible locations from menu bar

  1. Select Search > Bible Locations from menu to insert search keywords for bible locations "SEARCHTOOL:::EXLBL:::" into the command line field.
  2. Enter a bible location after the keywords to perform a search, e.g. SEARCHTOOL:::EXLBL:::Jerusalem.

To search a bible location as you read

Select a bible location, right-click and select "Bible Locations" from context menu.

To list all topics

Do not enter a name for search of bible locations to list all locations available, i.e. simply enter "SEARCHTOOL:::EXLBL:::"

Content

  1. Open a bible map, which is smaller in size but larger in scale, on a new window.
  2. Open a bible map, which is larger both in size and scale, on a new window.
  3. Open a live google map in a web browser. Internet is required for this feature.
  4. The bible map displayed above the description. It is a static google map by default. For those who owns a google api key, they can enter their keys in config.py, to display an embedded live google map instead of a static map. Remarks: Embedded maps require internet connection to be displayed.
  5. A dictionary / encyclopedia entry on the bible location being selected.

Open a bible map with the default application on your operation system

Open a bible map with either left or right upper button in a new window. At the bottom, click the link to open the image with an external application.
