Steps to reproduce

  1. Enable threads
  2. Open thread's sidebar for an event that does not have threaded replies
  3. Hit the "reply" item on the event
  4. Type a message and send it

What happened?

What did you expect?

For the message to appear as a quote-reply in the room main timeline

What happened?

It did that, but it also counted the event as a threaded reply, which increased the event thread summary info
