Description

I have a DM in a space which an alt account was in in the past, which it left now, but the room still displays.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Start DM with random person
  2. Invite alt to DM
  3. Have alt leave
  4. Add alt to space
  5. Observe DM visible in space.

  • OS: Linux (via flatpak)
  • Version: 1.7.28

This is just how Element categorises DMs. If you were to go to Alt's profile and click Direct message you would be taken to that room.

This is a problem for Canonical DMs (to fix DM handling) not for spaces which is matching rest-of-app behaviour
