The RiotX old room keeps appearing in my room list

Description

Even though I left the room several times, I keep being automatically reinvited. I think this is link to the room version upgrade that happened relatively recently (a few weeks/months).

It must be the 4th or 5th time I've left the room.

I've cleared my cache several times already.

Steps to reproduce

• I honestly don't know...

Room information:

• Internal room ID: !tTIucwUZLRtKnXeurb:matrix.org
• Room version: 1

• You can see a message from February 2nd saying I left the room, we're in February 12th now
• There is no "joining" message at the end, although I'm a member of the room now

The room settings (note that I have the "Leave room" button):

Workaround

If you "Clear cache and reload" the room disappears.

Version information

• Platform: desktop

For the desktop app:

• OS: both on Windows and Fedora
• Version: 1.5.8

Can you send logs for this issue please? Click on your account in the top left, then Settings -> Help and About -> Submit debug logs

I'm having the same problem, but with the Rust channel (internal ID is !zXfJBqSUvXySmsZMtB:jki.re). About twice a week or so at this point the room will show up again, but with the title "Foo and 8175 others" where "Foo" is some random username. I keep leaving the room, but on a regular basis it reappears.

In addition, leaving the room sometimes doesn't even work; even after a hard refresh.

Unfortunately, I'm not sure how to reproduce this.

Hmm, if it's still present even after clearing cache, it suggests a server issue... We may need to transform this into a report for Synapse team.

This has been happening again for the last two months or so, again with the same room ID (!zXfJBqSUvXySmsZMtB:jki.re). The pattern is the same every time: the room shows up, I clear the cache and it goes away, it shows up again a day later or so. Is there any extra information I could provide to make debugging this problem easier?
