Optionally Disable Sidebar Collapsing

Is your suggestion related to a problem? Please describe.
When the room list is collapsed, you can't tell if rooms are unread (bug #5454). However, when you shrink the window, the side bar auto-collapses.

I'd like the sidebar to be set to remain open when the window is shrunk.

Describe alternatives you've considered

I suppose fixing Bug #5454 would also potentially make me more comfortable (though, I kinda pefer having the sidebar open.

+1. This is not only when you shrink the window, but also if you hit cmd-plus to increase the font size (#3160)

I would like to have a button for this. Just a small 'Fix uncollapse' button.
