Unclear on semantics for mass redact button

Very strange solution. Every time I need mass redact — I need to redact choosed messages from different people. No place for unknown magic euristics.
What are "recent" at all? last 3? last 1000? last 3 minutes? last 3 weeks?
meh. It's just unusable in form "remove recent" from one user.

Mass redaction should work, for example, as:
