Old version of the Conduit room can't be left

Description

I can't leave the old version of the Conduit room (link). I've tried on both Element Web and Element Android, but it just clocks for a second and then does nothing.

Steps to reproduce

• Join https://matrix.to/#/!INsBtndtvSOQMXuneb:koesters.xyz
• Left click on the room
• Click "Leave room"

I expect the room to be left.

Logs being sent: yes

Version information

• Platform: web

For the web app:

• Browser: Firefox v90.0
• OS: Arch Linux
• URL: app.element.io

I'm fairly sure this is because the server cannot send a leave event to the/a server in the room, and it hangs on that. That room has had some weirdness in the past (a state reset and then some), and the original server has been down for a while.

Is there a way to force-leave it?

Given that you're seeing the same issue on multiple clients its almost definitely not a client issue but a server one

The mentioned room does not exist anymore and given that this issue is now 1.5 years old, I have to ask, is this still a problem?
