There's a number of complaints about this topic. Using something like https://github.com/matrix-org/matrix-doc/issues/423 to flag the room could work

We do need a way to flag these rooms and then unambiguously represent rooms-you-should-trust-because-you-trust-your-homeserver in the UX.

if we should be auto-accepting the invite then surely it should be synapse's job to do so.
