Steps to reproduce

  1. Connect to a call
  2. Leave by closing the window
  3. it just says Name (Connecting...) forever.

Outcome

What did you expect?

Id expect the user to eventually disconnect

What happened instead?

They seem to stay connecting forever.

Linux and Android

Browser information

Newest Stable version of Brave

What's 'forever' here? It should be half an hour I think, currently (a compromise between length of timeout and how much we spam keepalives).

Oh I apologize I didnt wait a half hour. Thank you for the information. I guess this isnt a bug

Even if the user doesn't literally remain in the call indefinitely, I'd still consider this a bug. We have mitigations in place for this, but evidently they're still not enough. #758 related
