Can confirm this. It seems the app isn't going into background properly maybe? If you scroll up so you're not seeing the latest messages then return to the homescreen or elsewhere it won't "see" the messages but that's a terrible workaround honestly. |

Can confirm I have this issue too. The notification shows up and instantly disappears. |

The issue is mentioned fixed in 1.5.12's changelog and that version fixed my problem of notifications. Hence I said it fixes, didn't look into the PRs myself |

Steps to reproduce
Open the app. Click in one room/chat. Get back on the homescreen. Have a message sent to you now by a room member or the other chat partner of the room/chat.
Outcome
What did you expect?
A notification is triggered and showed the new message.
What happened instead?
The message got marked as read and is not shown. Wether on the android device nor on the windows client.
