Restore keys backup with pwd is broken #526
Comments
Tested and it worked. |
Still doesn't work for me, neither Key nor Recovery Code get accepted |
A friend of mine and myself have the same problem. Tested with 0.15 gplay version (on his side) and multiple nightly builds (fdroid version) from me. I also rageshaked the issue. We both don't have any options to enter our recovery password, and it is not accepting the recovery key from the file that was created setting up the secure key storage. |
I'm running into this same issue. Literally setup a backup from scratch to test. Password nor Recovery Key works. |
I'm also running into this issue, is there any info I can get to help? |
@onurays could you please work on this issue please? Thanks |
This still is not fixed for me. In the riotx room valere suggested it might have something to do with my homeserver running on postgresql. Anything I can do to help debug this? |
I reopen it after reading your message to point it out in #RiotX |
I also have this issue, or maybe something similar. Opening the Key Backup screen only asks me for the recovery key, without ever asking for the passphrase. |
I tested it using an account on matrix.org, using 18.1 from the official f-droid repository, and I have the same problem there. Is it possible that this is connected to using the f-droid version? I cannot think of anything else that I am doing different than the majority of users.. |
Does not work for me either. |
For people who have the issue, can you tell us which client has created the backup? Was it Element Android or another Matrix client? |
