Matrix HTML allows inline images (<img>) where the src is a mxc:// uri, but they don't work in RiotX.

If you manage to fix Markwon or keep using it without fixing #350, you can probably get inline image support fairly easily using https://noties.io/Markwon/docs/v4/image/

can confirm this problem,
desktop and web element does render the image, but the android app does not.
Is there any plan for a fix?

This issue is over 2 years old with no signs of being fixed. Has anyone found any workarounds by chance?

Sorry to bump this, but is there any solution to this planned?

Currently it seems that sending images with text is basically broken in matrix. (there are a lot of other related issues to this topic as well)

  • sending embedded images with text directly doesn't seem to be supported.
  • sending messages via markdown is broken on android #2679
  • sending images via html is broken in android as well #835

I'm trying to replace telegram with matrix, which I use to send images and some information from my security cameras. It is of course possible to do so, but it doesn't look good and it is hard to differentiate between messages.

Not trying to be pushy or demanding, just curious whether this will come in the "near" future or if I have to look elsewhere for a solution :)

Thanks guys!
