Unexpected Initial Syncs

Recently I have been getting frequent (~2/week) initial sync "Importing account..." events.

There isn't an apparent reason for this. I don't know what triggers it, other than to say it has happened more frequently recently.

Initial syncing my main account from my server is Bad News, tends to take a long time and disrupts access to the server.

This x10 for me. My account is in 1000s of rooms, so an initial sync is something to be avoided if at all possible. Obviously Synapse could behave better here, but it would be good to avoid initial syncs as much as possible.

I've been getting this pretty often in the past few years, learned to live with it but it'll be nice to know how to avoid it
