How can I patch my current Eclipse installation for the bug "selecting multiple lines of code in MacOS-26.1+"?

I tried replacing the org.eclipse.swt.cocoa.macosx.aarch64_3.125.0.v20240227-1638.jar with the one from Eclipse-2025-12 release, no dice.
Trying to recompile the file with the fix TextLayout.java next...

There will probably be many other changes to bundles and even individual classes that will make bundles / class files from a current SWT version incompatible with that old SWT version you want to inject them into (including a bump of the Java version).

If I really wanted to backport that fix, I would check out the code for the version that I want to fix (there is a maintenance branch for every release), cherry-pick the fix on top of that code state and rebuild everything. You should be able to take the generated bundle or even just the modified class file(s) into the according JAR your 2024-03 installation of Eclipse.

Did compile the TextLayout.java, replaced it inside the .jar.
