The dropdown list doesn't work

There is a dropdown at the top-right of the screen once you login which is supposed to have your name that you registered with but it's not showing up.

Also the dropdown carat doesn't work. Seems like this is some JavaScript issue.

I'm wondering on the urgency of this one since we might end up changing the front-end anyway. The tutorial and generated frontends don't look too great.
