+This front-end model is a significant departure from the Panopoly-driven approach expressed by Kalatheme. To support this initiative in Drupal 8, we are advancing a lightweight base theme, [Kalabase](https://github.com/kalamuna/kalabase).

+Kalatheme will continue to be supported and maintained for the Drupal 7 community at large, but we are not advancing an upgrade path to 8 with this project.
