Alpine 3.24 images are now available

.NET images based on Alpine 3.24 have been released for all supported .NET versions.

The following repos have been updated:

• dotnet/sdk - Microsoft Artifact Registry
• dotnet/aspnet - Microsoft Artifact Registry
• dotnet/runtime - Microsoft Artifact Registry
• dotnet/runtime-deps - Microsoft Artifact Registry

Details

Alpine 3.24 is available via fixed-version tags (e.g. 10.0-alpine3.24) for .NET versions 8, 9, 10, and 11.0 Preview.

For .NET 11 Preview images, Alpine 3.24 completely replaces Alpine 3.23.

For supported .NET versions, Alpine floating tags (e.g. 10.0-alpine) will continue to reference Alpine 3.23 until 2026-08-11. This allows for at least one full .NET servicing release cycle before floating tags are moved. On 2026-08-11, the Alpine floating tags will be updated to reference Alpine 3.24.
