A customer switching from annual to monthly billing has asked for an automated way to inform us which months they use Diver.
For the sake of simplicity, rather than set up complicated license servers / analytics / telemetry, I've just set up an automated way for the code to send us an email when it's invoked using Unix
sendmail. We can then set up appropriate email filters to sort the emails accordingly.This may also end up having an added bonus of informing us about unlicensed usage, in some cases.
