Steps for deprecation

skynet-data is no longer receiving major updates. We're moving most of our earth observation machine learning training data efforts towards label-maker. Label Maker follows the same concept as this tool (create machine learning labels from OpenStreetMap and pair that with satellite imagery) with a few advantages and extensions:

• It supports multiple types of machine learning labels (classification, object-detection, and segmentation) as opposed to only segmentation.
• The final data product is suitable for use in multiple machine learning frameworks rather than just Caffe.
• There are more examples, tests, and documentation

This repo will continue to exist, just with a warning and a link to our more updated projects. Prior to deprecation:

• Is there anyone currently using this repo who would like to become a maintainer and continue development of this in parallel with (or diverging from) label-maker?
• I will create an example in label-maker showing how to prepare data for use in Caffe/skynet-train
