Hi @calebgab, displaying a year or more of data needs a little bit of work from my side. I have a suspicion that displaying the Visits is the problem. For the path we already process them in the backend and only return max 3000 points per path segment. A segment is a path which is continous inside the current map. If you zoom out to see everything at once, that is then one segment. If you zoom in, and the map intersects a path somewhere this leads to multiple segments with their own 3k point limit. The map can handle this. My suspicion is that painting all the Visits then slows down the map. But they could also be processed before the map receives them in the backend. I will tackle that after the next release. Do you mind in creating a ticket for that? |

My work previously had Teslas as the company cars, so I enjoyed tracking everywhere I'd driven with TeslaMate. I was able to select a time frame, and show the 2 years I had the car, and it would load on the Grafana map within 10 seconds or so, and would let me scroll around nicely. Problem I had with TeslaMate was it only showed where my car went, and when we took the family car, that didn't add to the map! But I did love it for finding roads I hadn't yet driven on, and would drive those roads to fill in the map.
I've only just started using Reitti a few weeks ago, and I've imported data from a few sources (still to figure out how to export the data from TeslaMate), but trying to view just this years worth of maps (it isn't that many datapoints as I didn't load in that much) - it takes ages to load the datapoints and the map really struggles to goes crazy if I try to move the map at all.
Is this just because there are too many datapoints, or datapoints to close together? What is my best course of action here?
