Forest to Farm is an online, open source database of useful plants based on data assembled by Eric Toensmeier and Dave Jacke in Edible Forest Gardens Vol. 2. It is intended to help permaculturists, agro-ecologists, and home gardeners in assembling permaculture systems and practicing restoration agriculture.
Currently, Forest to Farm is still under alpha development and no version is live yet.
The testing version of Forest to Farm will eventually be up at testing.foresttofarm.org.
The production version of Forest to Farm will eventually be up at foresttofarm.org.
Forest to Farm is an open source project and we appreciate any help offered. If you'd like to help develop it, take a look at the code standards document, and then spend a little time reading through the issues and milestones to get a feeling for where your efforts would be best spent.
We use Waffle as an issue card board to help track development progress. You can view our waffle by clicking one of the buttons above or going here: Forest to Farm Waffle
Before you dive in, we recommend you read through the documents under the heading "General Documentation" in the documentation directory.
