How to mock window.Cypress in unit tests?

Hi there,

I was wondering if there is a way to mock window.Cypress within my unit tests? In my app.js I have a conditional that renders certain React components when window.Cypress is true. I am now trying to write 2 unit tests, one that covers window.Cypress being true and one for false.

I am trying to do something like this to mock window.Cypress, but in my app.js it always comes back undefined.

const mockedCypress = true;
const originalWindow = { ...window };
const windowSpy = jest.spyOn(global, "window", "get");

windowSpy.mockImplementation(() => ({
  ...originalWindow,
  Cypress: mockedCypress
}));
