Add version tags and releases

Hi team,

Thanks for this useful library! I'd like to use it in my project, but the lack of version tags/releases makes it difficult to manage as a dependency.

Would you consider:

Adding semantic version tags (e.g., v1.0.0)
Creating GitHub releases with changelogs
Documenting which commit/branch is stable for production use

This would greatly help with:

Dependency management and reproducible builds
Tracking breaking changes
Understanding project stability
