Tips for GM's

One of the most compelling features of these NPCs is their ability to improvise. Just like a living, breathing character would, these NPCs react and adapt to the game as it unfolds, making for a truly immersive experience. It might sometimes seem like they are going off-script, but remember – this isn't a bug, it's a feature. It mimics the unpredictable nature of human interaction and can lead to exciting, unexpected developments in your story.

To ensure your NPCs align with your narrative goals, we've provided a function that allows you to edit their memories. Want them to reference an ancient prophecy or a long-lost artifact? Or perhaps reveal a shocking secret at the right moment? Simply update their memories to include these elements, and they will incorporate them into their interactions. This feature allows you to guide the narrative, while still maintaining the element of surprise and spontaneity that makes TTRPGs so engaging.

You can also directly talk to the NPC as the GM - they recognize that you are different and more important than a player, although some of the more spicy personalities will still fight back against your instruction. You can send them a secret message like so:

/gm Please greet Cody

To get the most out of your intelligent NPCs, remember to provide them with rich, detailed context. The more information they have about their surroundings, the situation, and other characters, the more dynamic and realistic their responses will be.

Embrace the creative possibilities these NPCs offer and let them enrich your games with unexpected twists and turns, memorable interactions, and deep character development. Happy gaming, and may your narratives thrive!
