query gov proposals --status filter does not work

This issue was reported on Discord by the user wimel | ÐelegaNetworks:

alessio@phoenix:~/work/gaia$ gaiad q gov proposals --status voting_period
Error: 'VotingPeriod' is not a valid proposal status

None of the supported statuses (deposit_period/voting_period/passed/rejected) works.
I've reproduced the bug myself with gaia built on the upcoming v0.42.0 release.
